The Welsh Diversity Awards is a new and exclusive awards ceremony, held annually to highlight the influential and iconic figures in the world of diversity, in and around Wales.
Brought to you by the founders of The National Diversity Awards and The Excellence in Diversity Awards, The Welsh Diversity Awards were designed to highlight the phenomenal work being carried out across Wales, providing a platform for unsung diversity heroes to gain recognition for their achievements.
Co-Founders, Paul Sesay and Simon Green talk about the Welsh Diversity Awards
Why the Welsh Diversity Awards?
Well known for its rich history and compelling culture, Wales is host to a vast array of amazing talent, and The Welsh Diversity Awards will recognise and celebrate everything that is positive about the communities that reside across the diverse realm.
The concept for the awards arose when an urgent need to actively promote positive role models across Wales was identified. If ever there was a need to celebrate and elevate the truly staggering diversity of talent that Wales has to offer, it is now – Opportunities are thin, and deprived communities need motivation and inspiration.
The Welsh Diversity Awards robustly believe that by bringing welsh communities together and celebrating the amazing achievements of diversity pioneers, that this will present a sense of empowerment, providing communities right across Wales with the belief that they too, can achieve!
The wider aims of the awards is to create substantial partnerships with the wider communities in order to strengthen ties between minority groups and send out a positive memorandum across all platforms of media about the outstanding contributions.
All of us here at The Welsh Diversity Awards are proud to be working on such an incredible event filled with celebration & unity; furthermore we look forward to witnessing the inspiring stretch of role models that Wales has to offer.
